Deep Sea Divers Den has operated from Cairns Australia for over 25 years, making Deep Sea Divers Den not only the largest but also one of the longest established Diving and snorkeling companies in the area. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced Diver or snorkeler, your safety and enjoyment is on the top of Deep Sea Divers Dens' list when you visit the Great Barrier Reef.

What's more, all Deep Sea Divers Dens training facilities are under one roof, which is one of the many reasons Deep Sea Divers Den has earned it's PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre status and PADI Career Development status - one of the highest ratings awarded to any Dive store as recognition of continued Diver training excellence.

With daily Liveaboard departures available, Deep Sea Divers Den offer the certified diver or snorkeler the most flexible diving itinerary.

The Diving / snorkelling

Deep Sea Divers Den have 14 Permanent moorings on the Outer Barrier Reef (including Norman and Saxon reefs) that ensure minimal damage to the pristine coral formations.

You may stay from as little as 2 days and 1 night. The most popular trip is the 3 day/ 2 night option. However, passengers are transferred daily by ReefQuest, so you may stay as long as you like. For those booking snorkeling trips, you may like to try a dive on the first day. You may book up to 3 introductory dives (no experience necessary).

The Vessel (OceanQuest)

The new Ocean Quest is a 35.7m catamaran over three decks. She has 1 quad share, 18 twin share and 4 double rooms giving us the capacity to sleep 48 customers overnight on the reef in unrivalled comfort and luxury.

All rooms have en-suite facilities as well as TV’s, bar fridges and internal phones. There is a large saloon area on the wheelhouse deck with a bar where you can relax and kick back after a long days diving The main deck has a large dining room capable of comfortably seating 48 passengers.

OceanQuest Accommodation:

• double (1 x double bed-based on 2 people sharing, private bathroom)
• twin (2 x single beds*, private bathroom)
• share accommodation (3 or 4 bunks* per room, private bathroom)
• All rooms are air conditioned, have private bathrooms, TV's, bar fridges and internal phones.

*if you are traveling alone DSDD will try to ensure same sex share rooms but cannot guarantee this (particularly in high season)
