Mike Ball Dive Expeditions is one of the premier liveaboard operators on the Great Barrier Reef. This owner-operated company has been taking divers onto the reef since 1969. The Diving / snorkelling

The Great Barrier Reefs most remarkable marine life encounter await you at the Cod Hole, imagine dive size fish that swim with you! A special bonus with your ‘Fly Dive Cod Hole’ participation is you experience one of the worlds most spectacular low-level reef flights and see stunning views of the Great Barrier Reef. The Ribbon Reefs run parallel to the coastline and offer a huge range of stunning dive sites. These reefs are visited by fewer operators then the Outer Barrier Reef and as such are in pristine condition.

Mike Ball offers 2 itineraries to the Cod Hole.

• Itinerary #1 (Northbound, 4 Nights) departs Thursdays, 8.00pm from Cairns (Marlin jetty) and incorporates a low level scenic flight from Lizard Island back to Cairns on Monday morning (returning to Cairns 11.00am).
  14 dives (including 2 night dives)
• Itinerary #2 (Southbound, 3 Nights) departs Mondays, 07.00am from Cairns (Cairns Colonial Club) to Cairns airport for a low level scenic flight to Lizard Island where you will board Supersport. Return to Cairns Thursday morning, depart Supersport at 09.30am.
