Departs
Saturdays includes 20 - 22dives (6 diving days)
4 dives per day, weather and conditions permitting, except on the
6th day which includes 2 dives.
Dives are selected to suit the weather and seasonal
marine highlights. The itinerary is flexible and may be adjusted.
Travel insurance is recommended.
Coral Sea Adventures, Osprey Reef Shark Encounters,
and Deep Sea Discoveries follow the 7 day itinerary
below and include shark attraction dives and nautilus encounters.
Minke Whale Expeditions are 7 days in duration.
They do not visit Osprey Reef but concentrate solely on the Ribbon
Reefs where Minke whales are sighted. Some dives will be replaced
by snorkeling with whale experiences.
Osprey
Reef Shark Encounter:

- 3 days Osprey Reef,
- 3 days Great Barrier Ribbon Reefs & Cod Hole

- Research: Sharks & Deep sea Nautilus
Minke Whale Expedition:
- 7 day expedition to Great Barrier Ribbon Reefs & Cod Hole.
- Unique In-water encounters with Whales
- 16+ (plus) dives
- Research: Dwarf Minke Whale
Coral Spawning Expedition:
- Two 7 day expeditions.
- 1st trip Great Barrier Ribbon Reefs only.
- 2nd trip includes 3 days Osprey Reef, 3 days Ribbon Reefs
- 20-22 dives
- Research: Reproduction of Corals

Extreme Weather:
Extreme weather may cause cancellation or adjustment to the advertised
itinerary. Undersea Explorer (UE) fully expect to honor all bookings,
however, UE reserve the right to cancel at any time prior to departure.
In the event a trip is cancelled, alternative arrangements will
be offered. If these are unacceptable all monies will be refunded.
If the weather is unsuitable we reserve the right to shorten or
cancel a trip, change itinerary or substitute a vessel, and any
refund would be based on the number of days cancelled, not the quality
or quantity of dives.

Itinerary
Day 1 (Saturday
Evening)
- 5.00pm Princes Wharf, Port Douglas
Enjoy dinner ashore in Port Douglas - be back onboard by 7.30pm
for departure.
Day 2 (Sunday)
- Cod Hole and The Ribbon Reefs - 4 dives
- The diving begins! Meet the locals! - Potato
Cod, Moray Eels, Napoleon Wrasse, Coral Trout, Nudibranchs and
Giant Clams. Enjoy the biodiversity of the Great Barrier Reef
Marine Park.
Day 3 (Monday)
- Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea - 4 dives
- The ultimate Coral Sea diving at Osprey Reef.
A diver's dream - 30m + visibility, 1000m vertical walls, Reef
Sharks and Hammerheads, schooling Barracuda and Tuna.
Day 4 (Tuesday)
- Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea - 4 dives
- More of Osprey's incredible sites... Shark
attraction/research at North Horn... Deep Sea Nautilus encounter.
Day 5 (Wednesday)
- Osprey Reef or Lizard Island - 2 to 4 dives
- Dive, Dive, Dive or laze on Lizard Island in
the afternoon. The Skipper's choice for your best experience -
Osprey, Great Barrier Reef or Lizard Island - What great options!
Day 6 (Thursday)
- Ribbon Reefs - Great Barrier Reef - 4 dives
- Coral gardens and pinnacles, 1500 species of
fish, 400 species of coral - what a superb finale!
Day 7 (Friday)
- Agincourt Reef - Great Barrier Reef - 2 dives
- A last opportunity to blow bubbles, then contemplate
a week of memorable diving as we steam back to Port Douglas by
approximately 5.00pm. Until the next time.

Refresher
Course: $55.00
Divers who have not dived
during the 6 months prior to the expedition, or inexperienced
divers, are recommended to undertake a refresher course. This
is conducted by our instructor during your first dive to ensure
that you will dive safely, and gain maximum enjoyment from your
dives.
Advanced Course:
$190.00
If you wish to join our night dives
or deep dives (and are not an advanced diver) it is suggested
that you expand your skills and qualifications by doing a PADI
advanced course.
Reef Discovery
Course: $10
The Reef Discovery Course
takes form via a series of presentations each day during Undersea
Explorer Expeditions. Up-to-date information is provided by onboard
researchers and interpreted by our marine biologist. Each passenger
has a Reef Discovery Manual for their reference during the trip
and upon completion of the course an optional GBRMPA certificate
can be awarded for the cost of $10.
